Chlorophilia was founded in 2018. Ilias is a fully qualified landscape architect and experienced landscaper who specializes in residential garden design across private residential gardens within Victoria.
Having worked within both landscape architecture and construction fields along with landscape maintenance environments for upwards of 12 years - Chlorophilia’s design outcomes are responsive to the surrounding native natural environment, function sustainably and create a space that clients feel connected to and can enjoy the facets that a sustainable native landscape offers.
Our design philosophy is a focus on native plants and a solid design intent; Chlorophilia aims to create gardens that invite the client to enjoy their outdoor space whilst also complimenting the home and its existing façade.
A wealth of horticultural knowledge in combination with sound landscape construction knowledge mean that the client is provided with a perfect balance of design and planting to ultimately create a beautiful natural setting to enjoy for many years to come.
Chlorophilia gives preference to and specializes in indigenous (local) and native planting within the design and aims to design & construct gardens which are sustainable, use little water – in conjunction with plants that are hardy. Where possible recycled or reclaimed materials are implemented - whilst also catering to the client’s design requirements, needs and ease of future maintenance.
Australian gardens ought to use Australian plants, and Chlorophilia’s hands-on approach and experience integrates qualified landscape architectural design applications and landscape construction techniques to create beautiful contemporary Australian native landscapes that connect to our native biodiversity.
